I haven’t stepped foot into a grocery store since March 13, 2020… and I’m not mad about it! Since then, we’ve been using delivery services to order our weekly groceries – which has been challenging at some times. (Especially early on in quarantine. Remember when basics like toilet paper and fresh chicken were hot commodities? Grateful that is behind us!)
Over the holidays, I was shopping at Walmart frequently for holiday décor, (if you follow me on Instagram, you might recall the skinny Christmas tree saga… the fabulous & flocked $40 tree sold out every time I shared it,) and discovered the Walmart+ membership.
With Walmart+, we can schedule our grocery deliveries as soon as same day – which is perfect for those days when you suddenly run out of milk or eggs, or can’t function without coffee. (Raises hand.) At our house, Sunday is our designated meal planning/grocery day; it’s become part of our weekend routine and is a nice way for Eric and I to spend quality time together preparing for the week ahead. Aside from the overall convenience, having our food delivered saves me time that I can use for more productive things, like riding my peloton, or taking a bubble bath. My favorite part about grocery delivery from Walmart+? Never having to stress about shopping in-store.
WALMART FAVORITES
Aside from free grocery delivery, the membership has other perks that I take full advantage of – like mobile scan & go in-store, member prices on fuel, and (my personal favorite,) free next-day and two-day shipping with no order minimums. This has come in handy so many times… like that time two days before hosting my first Thanksgiving when I realized we didn’t have enough glassware for our immediate family. (Panic mode on!) I ordered these beautiful goblets on Walmart.com and they arrived the next day. Crisis averted.
